VIK Complete Care recently supported a CPR certification class for staff members at Emmaus Catholic Parish in Lakeway, helping the parish strengthen its emergency preparedness and advance the development of its emergency action plan.
The training was held August 11 at Emmaus Catholic Parish, located at 1718 Lohmans Crossing in Lakeway. Staff members participated in hands-on CPR instruction designed to provide them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond more confidently if someone experiences cardiac arrest or another medical emergency.
Shauna Tripp, Austin Regional Marketing Liaison of VIK Complete Care took the lead in coordinating the community healthcare initiative and worked directly with the parish team. Following the certification class, Shauna also participated in the parish’s emergency action plan meeting to continue conversations about preparedness, response procedures, and community safety.

An emergency action plan helps an organization establish clear procedures for recognizing an emergency, contacting 911, beginning CPR, locating an automated external defibrillator when available, directing emergency responders, and coordinating responsibilities among staff members.
The initiative reflects VIK Complete Care’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations through community outreach, safety education, CPR training, and partnerships that promote emergency preparedness throughout Lakeway and the greater Austin area.
