Michael Magoon, M.D.

Meet the medical director for our San Antonio ER

Dr. Michael Magoon serves the San Antonio communities of Alamo Heights and The Pearl with over 30 years of emergency medicine experience. Board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and American Academy of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Magoon brings extensive trauma center experience from Wilford Hall USAF, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Shannon West Texas trauma centers.

Recognized as a worldwide Air Force “subject matter expert” in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Magoon has served as Medical Director for Lackland AFB EMS and Assistant Medical Director for San Antonio AirLife Helicopter Rescue. A longtime San Antonio resident since 1990, Dr. Magoon has been honored as Texas Super Doctor (2012-2023) and Best ER Doctor by SA Magazine, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in emergency care for the Alamo Heights and greater San Antonio communities.
