Information About Medicare and Tricare

Complete Care and other state-licensed freestanding emergency centers are currently unable to qualify for Medicare and Tricare recognition or reimbursement from government payers. We are actively working to get this changed in Congress with the Emergency Care Improvement Act (HR 3134). You can help by reaching out to your legislator in the US House of Representatives. Please ask them to support this bipartisan bill so more people have access to timely emergency care.

Meet the medical director for our Corpus Christi ER

Danell Stuckey, M.D.

Danell Stuckey, MD is currently the medical director at TLC Complete Care in Corpus Christi. She attended Texas A&M University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Stuckey attended medical school at UT Health Science Center in Houston and was a member of the AOA honor society. She completed her family medicine residency in Corpus Christi at Christus Spohn Memorial where she served as chief resident.

Dr. Stuckey has been practicing emergency medicine for the past nine years, spending some of that time at Complete Care in San Antonio before accepting the director position and making her way back to Corpus Christi.

TLC Complete Care is a designated safe baby location

Under the Baby Moses Law, parents are allowed to surrender babies younger than 60 days at a hospital, fire station, free-standing emergency center, or EMS station. If you have a newborn that you’re unable to care for, you can bring your baby to a designated safe place with no questions asked; TLC Complete Care’s emergency room in Corpus Christi is one of these designated safe places.
