Corpus Christi, TX — May 2026
TLC Complete Care recently participated in the 49th Annual Beach to Bay Relay Marathon, recognized as the largest relay marathons in the United States, held annually in Corpus Christi on Armed Forces Day. The 2026 event took place on May 16 and welcomed more than 10,000 runners and participants from across Texas and beyond.
As part of the organization’s continued commitment to community involvement and event medical support, TLC Complete Care served as an official hydration and support station during the sixth and final leg of the marathon, one of the hottest and most physically demanding portions of the racecourse.
Throughout the event, the TLC Complete Care team provided water, ice-cold cooling towels, first aid support, and assistance to runners experiencing heat-related exhaustion, dehydration, and muscle cramping. Cooling towels distributed by the team remained one of the most appreciated support items among race participants throughout the day.

Representing TLC Complete Care during the event were Trish Brummett, Director of Nursing, along with Ann Marie Bellows, Regional Marketing Liaison, who assisted runners and participants throughout the marathon activities.
During the event, TLC Complete Care treated multiple runners for dehydration and cramping, while one participant required additional evaluation through Republic EMS before ultimately being able to complete the race.
“The Beach to Bay Marathon is such an important event for the Corpus Christi community, and we were proud to be part of it once again,” said Trish Brummett, Director of Nursing. “Supporting runners, helping participants stay safe in the Texas heat, and engaging with the community is something our team truly enjoys being involved in.”

The Beach to Bay Relay Marathon spans approximately 26.2 miles across Corpus Christi, beginning on North Padre Island and finishing along Shoreline Drive, while honoring members of the United States Armed Forces and first responders each year.
For TLC Complete Care, participation in the annual event also provides an opportunity to strengthen community relationships, increase healthcare awareness, and support one of the largest community events within the Corpus Christi region.
TLC Complete Care continues to provide 24-hour emergency care services to the Corpus Christi community while remaining actively involved in local outreach initiatives, community partnerships, and public safety support activities.
