Building Safer Schools: Complete Care Delivers Hands-on CPR Training to Fort Worth Educators

Southlake, TX — April 20, 2026

Complete Care continues to strengthen its commitment to community health and safety by expanding hands on CPR training across multiple Fort Worth area schools, including Hubbard Heights Elementary School, Van Zandt Guinn Elementary School, Trimble TeBuch High School, Western Hills High School, John T White Elementary School, JT Stevens Elementary School, Waverly Park Elementary School, Versia L. Williams Elementary School, RL Paschal High School, and additional local partners.

These sessions brought together educators, staff, and community members in a practical, engaging environment focused on building confidence and preparedness during cardiac emergencies. Participants were guided through real-world scenarios, learning how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform high-quality chest compressions, and respond effectively until advanced care arrives.

Because cardiac events often occur outside hospital settings, early intervention plays a critical role in survival outcomes. By proactively bringing CPR education into schools and community environments, Complete Care is helping equip individuals with the skills needed to act quickly and effectively when it matters most. This approach reinforces the organization’s broader focus on preventative care and community readiness.

“We had a great turnout and a lot of engagement from both schools,” said Shawna Smith. “It was rewarding to see how eager everyone was to learn. Knowing that more people in our community feel confident stepping in during an emergency is exactly why we do this.”

The initiative was led on-site by Holly Nguyen, who coordinated the event and worked closely with both schools to ensure strong participation and community engagement. “It was great to connect with the schools and see such a positive response from the attendees,” Holly shared. “These are the kinds of moments where we can truly make an impact beyond the walls of our facilities.”

The continued expansion of these efforts reflects a growing awareness of the importance of preparedness and preventative care within school systems. Educators and participants not only gained technical skills but also a deeper understanding of how immediate action can make a meaningful difference in critical situations involving students, families, and colleagues.

Complete Care remains committed to supporting community outreach initiatives across Texas, including CPR education, wellness programs, and partnering with local organizations to advance health, safety, and rapid access to care.
