Complete Care Fossil Creek recently supported the Alphabetz Montessori HeartSaver/First Aid Class, providing CPR training and first aid instruction to 26 staff members at Alphabetz Montessori Bulverde on August 29, 2026. The class was provided in association with Republic EMS as part of Complete Care’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, local partnerships, and greater access to lifesaving education.
The training helped certify teachers and staff in essential emergency response skills they can use if a medical emergency occurs at the school. Participants received practical CPR and first aid instruction intended to strengthen their confidence and readiness while caring for students, supporting families, and working alongside their colleagues.

Teachers and school employees are often among the first people available to respond when an emergency occurs on campus. CPR training can help them recognize cardiac arrest, begin chest compressions, and provide immediate assistance while emergency medical services are on the way. AED training is also an important part of emergency preparedness because an automated external defibrillator can analyze a person’s heart rhythm and deliver a shock when appropriate.
According to the American Heart Association, immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of surviving cardiac arrest. Early CPR and rapid access to an AED are critical parts of the chain of survival, especially in schools, workplaces, and community settings where every minute matters.
