Complete Care recently coordinated a CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training class at Dynamic Sports Medicine in Bee Cave, helping local staff and community members prepare to respond quickly and confidently when someone experiences cardiac arrest.
The two-hour Heartsaver CPR and AED class was held August 22 at Dynamic Sports Medicine, located at 12921 Shops Parkway, Suite 100. The training was led by Jarod, an EMT with Republic EMS, and included six participants consisting of three Dynamic Sports Medicine staff members and three members of the community.
Participants learned how to recognize a cardiac emergency, perform CPR, and safely use an AED while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive. These skills are especially valuable in fitness, sports, workplace, and community settings where an immediate response can help save a life.
“CPR and AED training gives people the knowledge and confidence to step forward during a cardiac emergency,” said Shauna Tripp, Regional Marketing Liaison for Complete Care. “Bringing this opportunity to Dynamic Sports Medicine allowed us to help prepare both their staff and members of the Bee Cave community to respond when every second matters.”
According to the American Heart Association, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals in the United States each year. Immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival, highlighting the importance of preparing more people to respond before professional emergency care arrives.
Complete Care facilitated the class as part of its commitment to emergency preparedness, community education, and local partnerships. By connecting Dynamic Sports Medicine with Republic EMS, Complete Care helped make CPR and AED training accessible to staff members and residents in the Bee Cave community.
