TLC Complete Care Team Recognized for Lifesaving Response to Cardiac Arrest

Corpus Christi emergency care team acted within seconds when a patient collapsed in the facility lobby

CORPUS CHRISTI — August 2026

TLC Complete Care is recognizing members of its emergency care team for their rapid and coordinated response after a patient experienced cardiac arrest inside the Corpus Christi facility.

The patient entered TLC Complete Care reporting chest pain and collapsed in the lobby within seconds. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the emergency care team immediately began lifesaving treatment.

Allyson Salinas, RN, initiated CPR while Trish Brummett, RN, secured oxygen. Sally Ymbert, PAS, contacted 911 as the clinical team established intravenous access and connected the patient to a defibrillator.

After approximately two minutes of CPR, the team successfully restored the patient’s pulse. Emergency medical services arrived approximately four to five minutes later and transported the patient to CHRISTUS Hospital for continued care.

“This was an incredible team effort,” said Trish Brummett. “Everyone remained calm, understood their responsibilities, and worked together with complete control of the situation. I am extremely proud of how quickly the team responded when every second mattered.”

Dr. Danell Stuckey, Medical Director of TLC Complete Care, also recognized the team members whose training, communication, and immediate response helped save the patient’s life.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team. Everyone responded with skill, urgency, and compassion. Their ability to work together when seconds mattered made a lifesaving difference for this patient.”
