Dr Vu

Tim Vu, M.D.

Dr. Tim Vu serves as Medical Director of Complete Care Culebra in San Antonio and brings 26 years of emergency medicine experience to the facility. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed his emergency medicine residency through the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium while serving in the United States Air Force. Dr. Vu is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. His clinical interests include emergency cardiology, clinical education, and process improvement. He also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Vu’s approach to patient care centers on listening, communication, and education. He involves patients in the decision-making process, so they understand the reasoning behind recommended testing and treatment. His goal is to ensure every patient feels heard while receiving a thorough medical evaluation and a practical plan designed to help them feel better.

Complete Emergency Care Culebra is a designated safe baby site under Texas law, meaning parents who are unable to care for a newborn can safely and anonymously leave their infant with our staff, no questions asked. As long as the baby is 60 days old or younger and unharmed, our team will provide immediate medical care and ensure the child is placed with the proper emergency provider, and the parent will not face prosecution for abandonment or neglect.
