Derek W. Guillory MD
Dr. Guillory is the medical director of The Emergency Clinic La Vernia. He and his team of experts are devoted to delivering patients of all ages the medical care they need, whether they are suffering from a minor ailment or a major health issue.
Prior to arriving at The Emergency Clinic La Vernia, Dr. Guillory served as a physician in the Baptist Health System, as the co-owner of the Alamo Heights Minor Emergency Clinic, and also as an Associate Professor with the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Guillory was also a physician with the Flower Mound Emergency Care Center.

Under the Baby Moses Law, parents are allowed to surrender their babies younger than 60 days at a hospital, fire station, free standing emergency center, or EMS station. You can find this law in the Texas Family Code, Chapter 262, Sub-chapter D. Emergency Possession of Certain Abandoned Children.
